So I’m finally starting to feel better after getting rid of my cold. It really had me down and I fell behind on my priorities cause of it and got a little more lazier than normal, but I’m working on bouncing back now so I’m happy.
But I just wanted to share something that God did in me over the weekend. I always felt called to music but not in just playing I knew it wasn’t worship leading cause I cant sing but I knew there was something God wanted me to do with my music. Well we were at home group on Sunday night and we just started talking about worship and being in God’s presence.
Well Ella(One of the ladies what was sharing with us) brought up something about a worship leader that really stuck with me. God got ahold of him and told him to go home and play music. So he would start playing then start trying to write lyrics to it and then God would tell him no. Well finally he figured out what God was doing. God wanted him to just worship. He wanted him to get into that place of open worship and not have to sing. He wanted him to know that he didn’t have to sing to have God’s presence all people need is something to drown out the noise around them to get into God and lyrics can be distracting.
It really got to me that it’s almost a since of a prophetic worship. You play and it’s very simple but when people are just pushing the voices and noise away they can hear that quiet still voice that God is talking to them in. Through that open worship God speaks to everyone what he wants. You don’t have to sing cause God is singing.
So that’s what God made me realize that he wants me to lead music in a sense but not in leading songs but open worship. Mainly in me but when I have to I will. It was really an eye opener that to just spend time and not singing. I do that alot at home. I play open songs and I can just play all the time but I always try to rhyme words to them and stuff but God wants me to just play and get into his presence.
I believe there is more to this than I have yet figured out but I’m looking and I’m always amazed at some of the things God does. He’s moving and I don’t wanna be the one that gets left behind by the moving van. He may only be moving next door but I don’t wanna be at the old house being comfortable when I can be at the new house helping God accent it.

I think you should start recording instrumental songs. There are some great instrumenatal worship CD’s that we used for Intercessory prayer that were powerful. I have seen you a couple of times on Thursday nights get into your zone and you are just playing for God not even paying attention to what is going on around you. Worship isn’t about the words or the music, worship is from the heart. If your music is from the heart and connects you to God’s heart thats all that matters. I’d say play for him until your fingers bleed and then keep on playing. He will never grow tired of your music……..
