Well it was time I got around to part two but I wanted to give everyone a chance to think about some of the stuff I said and the verses I quoted.

I’m going to say it again that the time when temptation hits the hardest is when we decided we are going to live differently or we are gonna take a stand.

Now you can live differently and not be tempted. But that would require you changing your life to the worse instead of better.
But if you decide that you are going to change your life for the better or God tells you areas you need changed in your life well that is when temptation is going to hit. When you decided to make that decision to do something different or stand up then you are taking a part of your life that the enemy had ahold of and told them they can no longer have it. That is why when we make a change the enemy strikes back like something fierce with temptation.

Now I know alot of you have probably heard it but I’m just going to say it again just so I know I said it.
Temptation is not a sin. When you face temptation it is the enemy tempting you to sin but temptation itself is not a sin.

If your driving down the road and all of a sudden there is a big billboard on the side of the road with a skimpy dress woman on it your probably going to be tempted to look (If you are a guy). But it is when you see that and what you decided to do with it that is the decision if it is going to stay temptation or your going to let it become sin.
If you see that and bounce your eyes you were tempted but didn’t give into that sin, but if you see it and then see it again and then again and then maybe once more then I hate to say it you passed the border of sin awhile back.

well now we have talked about temptation I think it is about time we talk about fighting back.

The Fight

Well there’s alot of things we can do and I am going to hit a few that I can.

• Number one is definitely prayer. When temptation comes we can usually always pray to God and he is going to get us out of it or show us the way out. Like it says in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that will never let us face temptation that we cant get through and he will always give us a way out.

• Number Two is have accountability. We need someone that knows our downfalls and knows what tempts us. When they know us they are going to be able to hold us accountable and we will always have someone to go to when we are tempted. I don’t think we every want to run to someone and tell them we are being tempted but it will make all the difference and I’m pretty sure all of us would rather say we are being tempted than I have sinned

• Number Three is stay in your word. When we stay in our word it puts this shield around us and it also has are heart learning more about God and letting Him communicate with us.

• Number Four is make a thought process. If you are tempted in one way alot think of some way that when you are tempted you can think to do something to take your focus. You can make it a habit to bounce your eyes when you see something you shouldn’t see or one I’ve heard that works great is when you are tempted start praying for your pastors and people that need prayer. When being tempted its about you and trying to get you to fall but when the enemy is tempting you and all you do is pray blessings over others he’s going to back off.

Now there are probably other things you can do but I want your feedback on what you think. What are ways that you fight back against temptation?

I have been studying a chapter in Psalms about a prayer of protection and I’m really divulging into that and when I am finished studying it I will share it with you all and I think it will be good. If you want to read it ahead of me its Psalms 43
